Polls Open at 12 Noon and Close at 9 PM

           

Voter Registration Requirements for Primary by Mail

Postmarked not later than Friday, August 21, 2009

Received by Board of Elections not later than Wednesday, August 26, 2009.

 

Voter Registration Requirements for Primary in Person

To be eligible to vote in the Primary

Your application must be received in the Board of Elections Office

no later than Friday, August 21, 2009.

 

GENERAL ELECTION:

Tuesday, November 3, 2009

Hours - Polls Open at 6 AM and Close at 9 PM

           

Voter Registration Requirements for General by Mail

Postmarked not later than Friday, October 9, 2009

Received by Board of Elections not later than Wednesday, October 14, 2009.

 

Voter Registration Requirements for General in Person

To be eligible to vote in the General

Your application must be received in the Board of Elections Office no later than Friday, October 9, 2009.

 

If you have been honorably discharged from the military or have been a naturalized citizen since October 9th, you may register in person at the Board of Elections up until Friday, October 23, 2009.

 

DESIGNATING PETITIONS:

Tuesday, June 9, 2009 - First day for signing designating petitions

 

Monday, July 13, 2009 thru Thursday, July 16, 2009 - Dates for filing designating petitions

 

Monday, July 20, 2009 - Last day to authorize designations

           

Monday, July 20, 2009  - Last day to accept or decline a designation

 

Friday, July 24, 2009 - Last day to fill a vacancy after a declination

 

Tuesday, July 28, 2009  - Last day to file authorization of Substitution

 

INDEPENDENT PETITIONS:

Tuesday, July 7, 2009 - First day for signing nominating petitions

 

Tuesday, August 11, 2009 thru Tuesday, August 18, 2009 - Dates for filing nominating petitions

 

Friday, August 21, 2009  - Last day to accept or decline nomination

           

Monday, August 24, 2009 - Last day to fill a vacancy after declination

 

Friday, September 18, 2009 - Last day to decline after acceptance if nominee loses part primary  

 

VOTING BY ABSENTEE BALLOT

           

FOR PRIMARY

September 8 - Last day to postmark application for ballot

 

September 14 - Last day to apply in person for ballot

 

September 14 - Last day to postmark ballot. Must be received by the Board of Elections not later than Sept. 22

 

September 15 - Last day to deliver ballot in person to the Board of Elections

 

FOR GENERAL

October 27 - Last day to postmark application or letter of application for ballot.

 

November 2 - Last day to apply in person for ballot

 

November 2 - Last day to postmark ballot.  Must be received by the Board of Elections not later than November 10
